Stephen Colbert ridicules Donald Trump over his pink tie

After speaking at a recent rally, Donald Trump was griping about the crowd and wondering how his pink tie “played” with them. Cue Stephen Colbert…

President Donald Trump stressing over his pink tie? Yeah, there was no way Colbert was going to pass this up!

On last night’s Late Show, Colbert brought up a rally Donald Trump spoke at recently. According to the New York Times, he was reportedly “griping” over the size of the crowd in attendance — whicn isn’t unusual for Trump. But what Colbert really got a kick out of were Trump’s comments about his pink tie, wondering how it played with the crowd.

Immediately, Colbert goes into “Trump mode”, doing his best Donald impression and imagining him doing this rant:

"“We gotta be honest. A little self reflection here, okay? Something’s wrong. I’ve achieved nothing, I’m the most unpopular president in modern history, I’ve deepened America’s racial divide, we are on the brink of thermonuclear conflict… it’s gotta be the pink tie, right?”"

With Colbert miming Donald questioning his tie, wondering whether he should have gone with the stripes, the crowd eats it up. For the record, there is absolutely nothing wrong at all with wearing a pink tie. It’s just humorous that the president would stress so much about it.
