By Jeremy Dick
With Saturday Night Live losing Bobby Moynihan, Sasheer Zamata, and Vanessa Bayer after last season, the show has hired these performers to help fill the void.
Meet the new cast members of Saturday Night Live!
We’re getting another little bit of a shake up in the cast for Season 43 of SNL. Losing a few big names last season is going to be noticeable heading into the next one. But the show already has plans to keep the comedy coming, as NBC has announced three new names added to the show’s talent roster for Season 43.
Per E! Online, we can officially announce these three names as the show’s newest cast members…
Chris Redd
An accomplished stand-up comic with a Comedy Central special now under his belt, Chris Redd appeared in the feature films Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping and Handsome: A Netflix Mystery Movie. He currently stars in the Netflix series Disjointed in addition to being a featured player on the upcoming season of SNL.
Heidi Gardner
This actress honed her skills as a comedian with The Groundlings in Los Angeles. She has also provided voices for television shows including Bratz, SuperMansion, and Mike Tyson Mysteries.
Luke Null
Comedian Luke Null is more of an “unknown” in that he hasn’t gotten his work out there as much as his other new colleagues. It’s noted he has done some sketch comedy work for the iO Comedy Network, but SNL is clearly going to be his big break.
Keep an eye on all three of these performers coming in! You never know just who will become the next household name as a result of their work on SNL.
