Jimmy Kimmel is ‘grateful’ about Graham-Cassidy bill’s death
By Jeremy Dick
Jimmy Kimmel is weighing in on the apparent death of the Graham-Cassidy health care bill, and the funnyman just couldn’t be any happier about the news.
As Jimmy Kimmel would tell you himself, he hasn’t been so happy about the death of something since Osama bin Laden!
Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel spoke about the official death of the latest attempt to repeal Obamacare through the Senate. Lacking the necessary number of votes needed, majority leader Mitch McConnell pulled the plug, officially bringing an end to this bill. When Kimmel revealed this information to his audience, he received a tremendous ovation, with everyone in the crowd agreeing that this is very good news.
On the bill’s death, Kimmel jokes that the Oval Office walls are probably littered with tiny fist sized holes by now. Kimmel also talks about Donald Trump attacking John McCain for voting against the bill, accusing him of being a flip-flopper as he’s talked about wanting to repeal and replace Obamacare in the past. To that, Kimmel can’t help but laugh over the notion of Trump criticizing anyone else for being a flip-flopper, joking, “Donald Trump has more flip flops than a Jimmy Buffett concert.”
