Who is hosting tonight’s episode of Saturday Night Live on NBC, and will it be an all new episode? We have all of that info for you right here.

Summer is coming to a close, officially, as we prepare to head into the first days of Autumn. So, does that mean Saturday Night Live might be returning from its summer break with all new episodes tonight?

Unfortunately, that’s a negative on that. There’s no new episode of the show on just yet. Season 43 premieres in just a couple more weeks with an official premiere date of Sep. 30, 2017. We are in the home stretch but we still have just a little bit more time left to go.

Recently, Melissa McCarthy won an Emmy for her work on the show. With Sean Spicer having left his position in the White House, it remains to be seen if she will be just as much of a fixture moving ahead. I’m sure she’ll be popping up at some point to entertain us. And we’re also guaranteed to have Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump back too.

Tonight, the show is airing in the typical timeslot, but it’s a repeat episode from 2016. It’s the infamous Halloween episode with Tom Hanks where he debuted his spooky kooky character David S. Pumpkins. Hanks has been hinting on Twitter that he’s bringing the character back this season, so perhaps that’s the reason for this episode getting an encore.

As noted above, the Season 43 premiere of Saturday Night Live takes place on Sept. 30, 2017. It airs live on NBC at 11:30 PM EST.
