Is Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on tonight, August 27th?

Will John Oliver be back tonight for an all new episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on HBO? We have the official answer for you right here!

It’s Sunday, and if you are like me, you are hoping John Oliver is going to be back on TV tonight. So, let’s not fiddle faddle here with words and get right to it. Will Oliver be back on tonight with an all new show?

Unfortunately, the answer is no, there will not be a new episode of the show. The current season, Season 4, is not over just yet. But the show is taking another brief hiatus, and will be returning on September 10.

Last week, Oliver had an amazing show which covered Steve Bannon’s departure from the White House and touched on Donald Trump’s response to the Charlottesville tragedy. But the main focus of the show was on nuclear energy, namely, what to do with all of this nuclear waste we keep producing. Not enough people are talking about a solution, and Oliver stresses that we have been putting this off for far too long.

It would have been nice to have him back on TV tonight for more, but September 10 isn’t too far off. There’s no sense in guessing what he’ll talk about then because anything can happen between now and then, with Donald Trump in office anyway.

So just to recap, no, Oliver isn’t back on tonight with a new show. He will be back September 10, 2017. There are still several episodes left to go this season!
