Is Saturday Night Live on tonight, August 26th?

Is there going to be a new episode of Saturday Night Live premiering tonight, August 26th, 2017? We’ve got the answer for you right here.

After having its “Season Finale” of the Weekend Update: Summer Edition, it may seem like it’s time for the main series to come back on. So, will that be tonight, the first Saturday after the conclusion of the summer’s Weekend Update series?

Unfortunately, that answer is no. The Season 43 premiere of Saturday Night Live is getting closer, but we still aren’t there yet, and we have a little ways to go.

On the official website for the show, it notes that it will be coming back this fall. An official premiere date has not yet been named, though we’d expect that to be coming out soon. Looking at previous season premiere dates, it seems likely the show will be coming back around the end of September. We are just a few weeks away.

There will be a few less faces that we’re familiar with on the show when it comes back. Bobby Moynihan, Sasheer Zamata, and Vanessa Bayer have officially left the series. No word on who the new cast members will be, but to replace this talent we can expect some new names coming into the fold.

So, just to recap, there won’t be a new episode of the show premiering tonight. But as we’re getting pretty close to a likely fall premiere, more information should be coming out soon. Just stay tuned, as they say.
