Is Saturday Night Live on tonight, August 19th, 2017?

Saturday Night Live should be coming back to television anytime now with the kids back in school and the summer ending, so will it be on tonight?
Alec Baldwin… we need you!
It’s been a while since Season 42 of Saturday Night Live came to an end. Now, the little ones are heading back to school and fall is fast approaching. Season 43 of the show is set to return soon, so will that day be today?
Unfortunately, it’s a NO on that. SNL is still on its summer hiatus. While we’re getting closer and closer to a premiere, we aren’t quite there yet. It looks like we need to hang on just a little more to make our Saturday nights hilarious again.
The show obviously has a lot of catching up to do. Alec Baldwin’s take on Donald Trump was so good that it earned him an Emmy nomination. So he will most likely return to put Donald on blast some more. No matter how much the Trumpster himself might hate the portrayal, Baldwin isn’t going anywhere.
Bobby Moynihan, Vanessa Bayer, and Sasheer Zamata will all three no longer be on the show. The Season 42 finale was their final appearance. As of yet, no new cast members have been announced to replace them, though we can bet on seeing a couple new faces at least.
So, just to recap what we talked about already, there will not be a new episode of Saturday Night Live on tonight. We are expecting to get some updates on the premiere early next month, so keep checking back for more updates.
