On last night’s The Late Show, Stephen Colbert blasted Donald Trump’s first full cabinet meeting, calling it an “unprecedented public stroke-fest.”

On Monday, President Donald Trump held his first cabinet meeting since filling it up (with swamp monsters he promised to avoid). Of course, the odd event had to be televised, and there was no way it was going to go perfectly.

In fact, it was awkward as hell, as Stephen Colbert pointed out on last night’s Late Show.

During his opening monologue, Colbert brought up the extremely awkward meeting, showing clips from the event. Various cabinet members took turns “fawning” over the president, gushing over how supposedly amazing the guy is. It seemed more like an Ass-Kissers Anonymous meeting than anything else.

“Mr. President, all of us here want to thank you for having such a big beautiful behind… so all of us in the cabinet can just smooch it at the same time,” Colbert cracks on the show. Clearly designed to fluff the president’s ego, Colbert labels it an “unprecedented public stroke-fest for an emotionally frail man.” You can be sure this will certainly bruise Trump’s fragile ego.

Colbert will no doubt continue to cover the daily blunders of the Trump administration every weeknight. So be sure to tune in to new episodes of The Late Show, weeknights at 11:35 pm EST on the CBS network.
