Is Saturday Night Live on tonight, June 3, 2017?

Season 42 of Saturday Night Live had amazing ratings. In fact, it was the most watched season of the show in over twenty years. It’s on the upswing, so there are certainly people hoping the show might be back on tonight.

Well, here’s where I tell you the bad news. The answer is NO, there is no new episode of SNL tonight. You’re going to have to find something else to watch if you’re spending your Saturday night with the television.

Season 42 concluded with The Rock hosting the show for his fifth time. He was formally inducted into the Five Timers Club by Tom Hanks and Alec Baldwin. Katy Perry also served as the musical guest.

Additionally, the episode was the final appearance for three cast members. Bobby Moynihan, Vanessa Bayer, and Sasheer Zamata all left the series. The Season 42 finale with The Rock was the final show for all three of these performers. So we’ll be seeing some new faces when the show does come back.

While we have to spend our summer without any new episode of SNL, the show will be back in the fall. Look for Season 43 to drop sometime around late September or early October based on previous seasons. In the meantime, enjoy the summer, and maybe try to go outside for a little while!
