2. Lydia

We know Lydia from Breaking Bad as the single mother involved with Gus Fring’s large scale meth operation. She uses her position as the Head of Logistics at Madrigal Electromotive GmbH to sneak out methylamine for Gus. After the downfall of Fring’s empire, she later aligns with Walt, and then the White Supremacists. She has little regard for ordering the deaths of others if it means keeping her own hide out of prison.

Eventually, she (presumably) meets her end after Walter White sneaks some poison into her sweetener. It had been a long time coming for her considering Mike also came very close to murdering her. So we know how her story ends, but where does her involvement in the drug business start?

Better Call Saul verifies that Lydia has also known Gus Fring for many years. A Season 3 episode reveals a younger Lydia talking with Gus about a laundry complex going up for sale. Gus tells her, “It could work,” referring to where he will have his hidden meth lab built.
