President Donald Trump recently went on a tirade about people in the media he doesn’t like, including a scathing rant about The Late Show’s Stephen Colbert.

If Stephen Colbert is trying to make Donald Trump lose his mind, then his plan is working!

According to TIME, President Trump recently told reporters his candid thoughts on many figures in the media. This includes calling Chris Cuomo a “lunatic” and Don Lemon the “dumbest person in broadcasting”. But his most insulting comments were reserved for Colbert, who’s really been raking Trump over the coals lately.

While presumably wiping tears from his eyes, Trump had the following to say on Colbert’s jokes about him on late night TV:

"“You see a no-talent guy like Colbert. There’s nothing funny about what he says. And what he says is filthy. And you have kids watching. And it only builds up my base. It only helps me, people like him. The guy was dying. By the way they were going to take him off television, then he started attacking me and he started doing better. But his show was dying. I’ve done his show. … But when I did his show, which by the way was very highly rated. It was high—highest rating. The highest rating he’s ever had.”"

Clearly, Colbert is striking a nerve with the president. From the start, it’s been clear Trump is very sensitive about any criticism about him. His inability to censor Colbert has to be killing him, so he’s just writing him off as a “filthy” comedian. Too bad for him, a man who brags about grabbing women by the [redacted] doesn’t have any room to talk.

It was only a matter of time before Trump felt the need to say something. But something tells me that the more it upsets Trump, the more Colbert will just turn up the volume.
