Is Last Week Tonight with John Oliver new tonight, May 7th?

Today is May 7, 2017, and you might be wondering if there’s a new Last Week Tonight with John Oliver tonight. Fortunately, I have the answer!

Good news — tonight will have an all new episode of Last Week Tonight. John Oliver will be joining you on your television set tonight for a first run episode of the comedy series.

One can only assume Oliver is going to be spending some time talking about the Trumpcare controversy coming out of this week. As we all know by now, the GOP rushed an abysmal Obamacare repeal bill through the House, threatening the health care of millions of Americans. President Trump and his fellow Republicans who voted for the bill have been getting skewered by all the late night show, and now it’s Oliver’s turn.

One benefit Oliver gets over the other late night comedians is being on HBO. This gives him the chance to speak his mind totally uncensored, and his take downs can sometimes be much more vicious. Like myself, I’m sure many viewers are anxious to see Oliver’s unfiltered response to all of this nonsense.

Interestingly, this is going to be the 100th episode of the series. I’m happy to see the program’s run hit the three digit mark, still going strong a hundred shows in. After tonight, only four episodes will remain for Season 4, so we’ve got just over a month of new episodes for this season left.
