Is Real Time with Bill Maher on tonight, April 14th?
Bad news, folks, Real Time with Bill Maher is not new tonight, April 14th.
With the speed of the news cycle these days, once-a-week broadcasts like Real Time with Bill Maher help sort the wheat from the chaff to better direct your attention and/or anger to what matters. Unfortunately, you’re on your own this week, as there will be no new episode of Maher’s HBO show.
Maher may not be on the air tonight, but he’s happy to provide you with snippets of insight and snark during his absence. If, for example, you were looking for Maher’s take on the United fiasco, he’s got you covered.
When he does return on April 21, he’ll be back with S.E. Cupp, a conservative columnist and CNN commentator, David Miliband and Rep. Seth Moulton. Miliband is British politician who left Parliament to serve as President and CEO of the International Rescue Committee. Moulton is the Democratic representative from Massachusetts.
Despite the time lag, there is a good chance Moulton brings the conversation back to Syria. He recently praised Trump for the missile attack against Syria on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, saying Obama should have taken similar action in 2013. Maher, for his part, has been vocal about Syria as well.
Specifically, he took issue with TV coverage of the bombing during his opening monologue on his show last Friday, April 7.
“Even the liberals were all over this last night. Everybody loves this f— thing,” he said. “Cable news loves it when they show footage of destroyers firing cruise missiles at night. It’s America’s money shot.”
