SNL returned this weekend and took aim at both Pepsi and Kendall Jenner for that stupid protest commercial they all thought would be a good idea.

Unless you were living under a rock this past week, you likely saw the Pepsi ad that caused such a stir across social media. The ad, which Pepsi has since pulled and apologized for, featured various protesters about to clash with police officers before Kendall Jenner stepped forward to give everyone a Pepsi to make it all better.

It’s even worse than how I described it, and how it was allowed to be made is a mystery no one will be able to solve.

Saturday Night Live came off the top rope with a digital short making fun go the whole incident, and it was one of the highlights of the night. The skit saw Beck Bennett playing the director of the commercial who brags about it to his friends and family, who have such an aggressively negative reaction that he begins to try and get out of the gig.

To top it all off, SNL took aim directly at Kendall Jenner and how she has been running away from blame over her involvement in the mess. Cecily Strong played Jenner and tied a nice little bow around it by making sure she doesn’t get off scotch-free. One thing that has seemed a little off is how Jenner has been protected as though she didn’t know what she was getting into.

That’s an asinine idea, and one that SNL saw right through. Strong’s troll on Jenner to end the skit was a cherry on top of a troll job that we should all applaud.
