Kimmel trolls Jason Chaffetz over iPhone healthcare comment

Jimmy Kimmel Live! trolled republican Jason Chaffetz over his recent comments about not buying iPhones to save for healthcare.
There is plenty of debates going on around the country regarding repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act, known also as Obamacare. However, some of the arguments about replacing it aren’t always the most logical ones.
Earlier this week, republican Jason Chaffetz was on CNN talking about replacing the Affordable Care Act. One of his arguments was that people who may not be able to afford healthcare should just not buy the new iPhone so that they can buy healthcare.
On Tuesday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the late night talk show host had to call out how ridiculous that comment is. Kimmel and his staff even put together a great sketch making fun of the comment, calling it out on how ridiculous it is.

The idea that all it takes to afford health insurance is not buying an iPhone is definitely not accurate. Fortunately for us, Kimmel and his staff made a fake app to track how many iPhones you would need to not buy in order to afford covering medial expenses from something like a broken arm.

While Jimmy Kimmel Live! isn’t the most aggressive late night talk show in regards to trolling President Donald Trump and republicans, the ABC series definitely knows when it’s appropriate, and they almost always deliver in one way or another.
