One of the funniest cast members of The Walking Dead is surprisingly Melissa McBride. The actress, famous for her portrayal of Carol, went from being a woman in an abusive relationship that didn’t seem to have a backbone to one of the best characters on television.

With all the shippers longing for her and Norman Reedus’s character Daryl to get together, Melissa’s comedic prowess has shined through. She picks up bits and runs with them without even batting an eyelash. And honestly that would make her an incredible host for Saturday Night Live. So many times a host gets terrified of the show.

You can see in their eyes that they don’t want to do it, that they’re afraid. But Melissa never seems to back down from a bit and that, in my opinion, makes for the best hosts. They’re not afraid to do anything that the writers throw at them.

So Melissa should host for a whole bunch of reasons. One being that she is still a cast member on The Walking Dead and can use it for promotional purposes but also because she’s just a funny woman in general. So get on that Lorne Michaels, we want Melissa!
