30 Times Samantha Bee Destroyed Donald Trump

1. When Bee said love trumps hate.

I know, I know. Reading this entire article was probably depressing as hell, and if I’m being completely honest, it was equally depressing to write because it reminded me just how messed up our current president is. But, there’s always a silver lining, right!? Like how a Donald Trump presidency basically is writing Sam Bee’s show for her. Right?

“And please don’t even think about writing something stupid like, ‘What a lucky break a Trump presidency is for comedians. The jokes just write themselves!‘”

Wrong.

“No. No. No. Jokes don’t write themselves. Jews write jokes and they are scared sh*tless. Believe it or not, this is not a great day to be part of the most diverse staff of late night. They’re not in a very jokey mood.”

Okay, nevermind. But Bee does provide us with a little hope in this segment that aired on the day after the election: “America is still a great country and it is still worth fighting for. It has Shonda Rhimes’ shows and peanut butter and Beyonce and Lin Manuel Miranda rap-weeping at award shows.” Bee has a point. We can’t lose hope just yet. We need to stand together, stronger than ever, and take our country back. Love will always trump hate.

So, in the words of Sam Bee, “Let’s get off the floor and get busy. Especially you, white women. We got some karma to work off.”
