8. When Bee compared Trump to Putin.

I’m casually cringing and looking out my window as I write this. Journalists in Russia are actually murdered for reporting something Putin doesn’t approve of!? Is this common knowledge? Was i supposed to know that? Because here I am, writing something that Trump probably won’t approve of, and now Sam Bee is trying to tell me that Trump is Putin basically.

Well, I can’t say this wasn’t worth it.

Bee treks all the way to Russia and realizes their country is a little f*cked up. She asks one woman she speaks with if it’s dangerous that she’s in Russia speaking to journalists right now. The kind lady then explained to her that American diplomats were just recently drugged nearby! Bee then meets up with a guy who has been poisoned by the Russian government because of things he has reported. He says his organs just started shutting down one day. In fact, since Putin took office in 2000, 54 journalists and activists have been killed by the government. But many more have been attempted. They explain to her that it’s the news’ job to frighten the Russian people. Imagine if our leader thought Putin’s way of media and journalism was a good idea!?
