Does SNL have a new episode tonight, February 18th?

Saturday Night Live is hitting it’s stride this season, but will the political trolling be back tonight or is the show taking a week off?

This season of Saturday Night Live has been on e for the ages. Alec Baldwin is now basically a part of the cast thanks to his role as Donald Trump  and we might soon see the same out of Melissa McCarthy if she continues to make weekly appearances.

McCarthy has appeared in back-to-back episodes of SNL as press secretary Sean Spicer, but this week we won’t be seeing her. It’s not because she won’t be reprising the role, rather it’s because the show is taking a few weeks off.

Saturday Night Live will not be airing a new episode tonight, and it won’t be airing one next weekend either. The show will return the weekend after the Oscars, with an actress who could at that time be a two-time winner. Octavia Spencer, who is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Hidden Figures, will be the host of the post-Oscars show. The musical guest for that episode has yet to be announced but there are a handful of candidates.

One late comer to the party is Future. The Atlanta rapper drizzled his new album on the world this past week and is prime for another SNL appearance. He appeared as the musical guest for the Jonah Hill hosted episode back in 2016 but could make a return in two weeks to promote his new album. There’s also a chance we see someone who hit it big at the Grammys appear as a musical guest, which could range from Adele to Beyonce.
