3. Tina Fey as Sarah Palin

An impersonation that was born from looks and suddenly an icon was born. Tina Fey was never really one for impressions. She said so in her book Bossypants but then someone pointed out that Tina looks like Sarah Palin and history was made.

“You can see Russia from my house” became the catchphrase of the election and everyone was in love with Fey as Palin. She even got to join Palin on the same stage before but it was just the complete shock value of this that initially made it so amazing.

Over the years Fey has come back as Palin multiple times. Most recently, she came back in March of 2016 to play Sarah Palin when she endorsed President Donald Trump. And if you want the side by side comparison of the two, it is actually pretty amazing.

There is just something so great about this. It isn’t just that we hadn’t seen Tina in this way before. Or even that it was something so incredible. It is just that there really wasn’t anyone else to play her and it just fit perfectly.

Maybe that is why they continue to bring back Fey to play her rather than getting a new cast member to do it. Whatever the case may be, we won’t complain about getting more and more Fey as Sarah Palin.
