7. Kate McKinnon as Ruth Bader-Ginsburg

Kate McKinnon has proven time and time again that she is a force to be reckoned with. Especially when it comes to her impressions of political figures. From Clinton to the German Prime Minister, Kate finds herself in almost every sketch (especially if there is a political figure to be played).

So when she debuted her Ruth Bader-Ginsburg on Weekend Update, we all fell in love. Especially since most of us had never seen Ruth on television or heard her speak. Even now if you haven’t heard Ruth speak, you probably think of McKinnon’s impression of her first.

It’s not that it is something outrageous or so amazing we have to all see it, it’s just super funny. The best moment with Kate as Ruth Bader-Ginsburg is when Colin Jost asked her about her seat on the Supreme Court. Since Trump had to appoint judges, Ruth responded by saying she wasn’t going anywhere and swallowing an enormous amount of Emergen-C to stay healthy.

Kate is just great at doing these women in politics that we may not have ever seen in video form. With Ginsburg, you can find her on YouTube but she isn’t exactly a figure that we all constantly see. And Kate McKinnon’s portrayal of her does something amazing and makes us fall in love with this incredible woman.
