A void was left immediately following that 2016 presidential election after the hit HBO series Last Week Tonight with John Oliver went on a hiatus. Without Oliver and his staff, other late night talk shows had to pick up the slack when calling out President Donald Trump.
Fortunately for fans of the popular HBO series, Oliver is finally coming back this Sunday night. For the first time since November. This week’s episode will be the Season 4 premiere, which means that we’ll be getting plenty of new episodes over the next few months.
Everyone is wondering what Oliver will talk about in his first episode back. There’s almost certainly going to be some discussion about Trump and the administration, but there are so many different topics he could focus on from Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos to the travel ban and the federal judges halting Trump’s executive order.
Oliver tweeted out earlier in the day joking that he didn’t know if there would be anything meaningful to talk about.
