With president elect Donald Trump’s inauguration taking place the next day, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert had to make a few more jokes on Thursday night.

After months and months of jokes directed towards president elect Donald J. Trump, it’s now starting to sink in for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that he will officially become the 45th President of the United States on Friday.

In the opening monologue for Thursday night’s episode of The Late Show, Colbert talked to the audience about Trump’s upcoming inauguration ceremony. Those who have been watching Colbert since the election campaigning began for Trump know that the CBS late night host has been taking plenty of shots at the president elect.

Well, that was the case once again on Thursday night. Colbert talked about Trump arriving in D.C. and a number of other jokes regarding his inauguration ceremony. You can watch the entire opening monologue from Thursday night in the YouTube video below.

Along with Trump’s inauguration, Colbert had to touch a bit on some of the president elect’s cabinet picks, including Rick Perry. After being nominated as the Secretary of Energy, Perry is now admitting that it was a mistake to call for the closing of the Energy Department.

Although Trump is now the 45th POTUS, Colbert probably isn’t going to stop calling him out on anything that the late night host may disagree with. Be sure to keep checking back at Last Night On, because I’m sure this won’t be the last time we talk about Colbert trolling Trump.
