5. Just a hint of the Whisperers
This one here applies mostly to comic book readers; those who haven’t read them won’t be as excited. If you have, and you’re caught up, you know who I’m referring to. But I’ll explain it for curious TV show fans who haven’t yet checked out the comics.
In the graphic novel series, the survivors come across a very interesting group. Let’s just say they take Michonne’s walker camouflage idea and go the extra mile with it. They’re not just rubbing zombie guts on themselves. They actually go so far as to remove the faces from corpses and wear them as masks. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre‘s Leatherface would be proud. This group can freely walk among zombie hordes and communicate by quietly whispering to each other.
What’s interesting about the Whisperers is that they look like zombies. Wearing zombie skin over their own faces fools not just walkers, but other humans as well. This makes them especially dangerous and completely unlike any group we’ve seen thus far. Seeing the Whisperers make it to the TV series would be awesome, so any teasing of that would be a real treat.
