30 things we need to see in The Walking Dead Season 7B
By Jeremy Dick
16. Seeing new people, places, and things
A theme which has been developing in recent seasons of The Walking Dead is that of a larger world. We’ve come a long way from the confining locations of Hershel’s farm and the Georgia prison. Further exploration into this world is revealing lots of new places and people for our survivors to come across.
They’ve touched on this a little bit in the first half of the season. Tara’s visit to Oceanside comes to mind right away. Seeing all new people and places always makes for some of the most compelling moments on the show. And that’s something I would love to see continue in the remaining episodes of Season 7.
New characters are always interesting. Viewers never know for sure how much to trust new people, and the same goes for the characters. Sometimes it works out for the better, though as we know things don’t always wind up that way either.
But even exploring different locations, without any survivors, is interesting television as well. Scavenging runs will forever be a part of this show, so let’s see where the writers will take our heroes next. They have the creative power to show pretty much anything they want.
