The Young Pope Live Stream: Watch Series Premiere Online

As HBO fans anxiously await the return of shows like Game of Thrones, the premium cable network is debuting one of its newest shows on Sunday night in The Young Pope.

Italian director Paolo Sorrentino, who directed the Academy Award-winning film The Great Beauty, has put together this limited series for HBO. The Young Pope stars Jude Law as Lenny Belardo, or Pius XIII, at the beginning of his pontificate as the first ever American pope.

The HBO limited series also stars Academy Award-winning actress Diane Keaton as Sister Mary, who is an American-raised nun who moved to the Vatican City. Another actor set to the star in The Young Pope is James Cromwell, who starred as Dr. Arthur Arden in American Horror Story while appearing in countless other films and TV shows.

The most recent limited series to generate a lot of buzz for HBO was The Night Of, and that one had people talking for weeks. The network is hoping that The Young Pope can draw a similar audience.
