HBO announces Real Time with Bill Maher return date in 2017

HBO has announced the 2017 return date for Real Time with Bill Maher, and it couldn’t come soon enough.
It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Bill Maher and the Real Time crew, but the wait will soon be over.
At the TCA this week, HBO announced that Real Time with Bill Maher will be making it’s much anticipated return on January 20th. This means that the day Donald J. Trump is officially sworn into office, Maher will be back on the air hours later to break it all down.
Maher’s last show coincided with Trump’s election back in November — something he was more chill about than we all thought he might be. His message was to give Trump a chance to prove he wouldn’t be the same lunatic that campaigned for a year once he took office in January.
Inauguration day is still a week away, but it appears that Maher’s hopeful outlook on Trump was dead wrong. Since Maher’s plea to liberals — and the greater American population — to give Trump a chance, the President-elect has done nothing but put his foot in his mouth on issue after issue.
Trump already has more scandals attached to him in the weeks leading up to his inauguration than President Obama did in his entire eight-year run in the Oval Office. That, among other things, is likely to come up when Maher returns.
It’s going to be interesting to see where Maher stands on Trump now that we’ve done what he suggested and given Trump a chance to show us what kind of president he’ll be. While he’s not even officially in charge of the country yet, the table has been set for a rough four-years, and Maher couldn’t be coming back into our lives at a better time.
