Arrested Development Season 5 could come to Netflix in 2018

Netflix wants more Arrested Development, and it sounds like the gang will be ready to get back together very soon.
It has been over three years since we saw new episodes of Arrested Development, and fans are thirsty for more. Fans aren’t the only ones who want more of the show, as it appears the actors want back in on the action too.
Executive producer Brian Grazer has officially gone on record to say that Netflix wants a fifth season of the show and things are pulling together.
This doesn’t mean it’s going to happen, but the fact that it seems everyone wants to do another season is promising. We waited seven years between the third and fourth seasons of the show so this elongated isn’t anything new. It also seems to be the norm for prestige shows to not be afraid to take their time to produce the best possible season they can.
Breaking Bad took a year to get through its final season, and Louie is in the midst of its second major hiatus. Westworld was the hottest show of the year and it won’t be returning with a second season for roughly two years after its premiere date.
From what Glazer told The Wrap, it sounds like Arrested Development is in the tail end of the hiatus phase, but nothing is promised.
"“I think we’re really close to pulling it off finally,” Grazer told TheWrap on Wednesday. “All of the actors have agreed to do it and I think they’ve agreed to their compensation structure. That’s been the hardest–it’s all hard…But it should be happening soon.”"
Nothing sounds like it has been shot, which means getting a season this year makes little sense.

That being said, it’s not outside the realm of possibility to expect a new season of Arrested Development in 2018.
