5 Star Wars actors we want to see host Saturday Night Live
By Tyler Brooke
1. Donald Glover
Why it Would Work: Actor. Comedian. Writer. Musician. These are all titles that Donald Glover has under his belt. With Glover set to play Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo film in 2018, he’d be the perfect person to host prior to the release of the film. Not only could Glover host, but he could also perform as the musical guest under his Childish Gambino persona. The fact that Glover has yet to host SNL is nothing short of amazing, and now that he’s won a Golden Globe the buzz around him couldn’t be any bigger.
Why it Wouldn’t Work: Honestly, it’s hard to come up with a valid reason that Glover couldn’t host SNL. He’s extremely talented and could do just about anything the staff asked him to. Perhaps he has beef with SNL over losing out on an opportunity to play Barack Obama in sketches a few years ago, but that doesn’t seem like it would be too big of a deal.

Could it Happen?: This is by far the most likely Star Wars actor to host Saturday Night Live. He’s become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood and is funny enough that no one would be surprised to see him succeed in the role. It feels like only a matter of time before this happens, so we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed.
