The classic FXX series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has just started its 12th season, and if the newest episode on Wednesday night is anything like the season premiere last week, then we’re going to be in for another surprising episode.
The Season 12 premiere featured The Gang in one of the most ambitious and risky episodes the show has ever produced. The Gang wakes up after lightning strikes their VCR to find that they are all trapped in the bodies of African Americans.
The entire episode followed The Gang as they tried to tightrope the lines of discrimination and stereotypes all while being a musical episode. It was a tough subject to try and pull off, especially as a musical, but the premiere was still a solid episode with plenty of laughs.
It’s highly unlikely that this week’s episode will be a musical, but you can feel pretty confident that it’ll feature plenty of highly inappropriate behavior from Mac, Dennis, Dee, Charlie and Frank.
