Meryl Streep raked Donald Trump and his hateful supporters over the coals at the Golden Globes.

The Golden Globes are all about Hollywood patting itself on the back for being awesome. It gives off an aura of liberal elitism that was used against America in the most savage of ways this past November, when a racist, sexist demagogue was elected leader of the free world.

As soon as Donald J. Trump was elected the next small handed President of the United States, his racist and sexist tactics began to be normalized by Americans who were either supporting him or afraid of what lie ahead.

Meryl Streep helped push back on Sunday night, with a speech that body bagged Trump and his supporters for the hate they preached and have since embraced. Streep lobbied for acceptance of expression and railed against the hatred and fear mongering that Trump campaigned on and unfortunately won the election with.

You could hear the pain in Streep’s voice — as a woman, as an American and as a human being with a conscious.

Just watch the speech, it speaks for itself. Anything I say about it will pale in comparison to what Meryl Streep articulated in an award speech that was supposed to be about her and ended up being about everyone else.

There’s no following that. There’s only living by her message, which is going to be of critical importance as we enter the dark Donald Trump era in American history.
