Last Night On provides you with information on all of your favorite prestige cable programs, including when the series Taboo will premiere on FX.

FX has been on a bit of a hot streak lately with shows like Donald Glover’s Atlanta, American Horror Story and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia picking up so much steam. Now, the network could have another hit series on its hands with Taboo.

Trailers have begun trickling in for the new FX series starring Tom Hardy, who is also an executive producer for the series alongside the great Ridley Scott. The show is set in 1814 as Hardy’s character, James Keziah Delaney, comes back to London after he was presumed dead.

The plot of the series appears to be that Delaney attempts to take hold off his deceased father’s shipping empire in a complex political environment. For those who have yet to hear much about Taboo, you can check out the exciting trailer for the series below courtesy of YouTube.

Given the names behind this project, it’s hard not to get excited about Taboo. It’s an interesting setting for a series and definitely feels like it could be one of FX’s darkest and most enthralling projects to date.

Taboo will premiere on January 10th at 10 p.m. ET. There will be eight episodes in the miniseries, with no reported plans of a second season, at least not yet. However, if the show captures its audience like the trailers have, then it wouldn’t be the least bit surprising to see FX request a second season from Hardy, Scott and company.
