Who is on Real Time with Bill Maher tonight, November 11th?
By Hector Cruz
Bill Maher will give his reaction to the election of Donald Trump as president on tonight’s season finale of Real Time.
HBO host Bill Maher gave a stern warning to Real Time viewers last week about the implications of a Donald Trump presidency, and performed a stand-up special surrounding the Republican candidate because he hoped the jokes would no longer be relevant after Election Day. However, the comedian has been mum about the election results since Tuesday night, presumably waiting until tonight’s episode to give his thoughts on what he expects the next four years will look like, as well as the protests that have erupted across the U.S. after Republicans gained control of all three branches of government.
Maher will share the stage with guests that are also certainly no fans of Trump. First, he’ll interview Former Atty. Gen. Eric Holder as the top-of-show interview guest. Holder was critical of FBI director James Comey’s decision to inform Congress that they were looking into new evidence surrounding Hillary Clinton’s email server late last month, before confirming just days before the election that the newly recovered emails would not change the conclusion the FBI reached in July to not prosecute the former secretary of state. The decision sparked outrage among Democrats, some of whom have since blamed the move for Clinton’s loss.

The roundtable panel will consist of former Obama campaign strategist-turned-CNN political commentator David Axelrod, MTV News political correspondent Ana Marie Cox and New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, all of whom were critical of Trump throughout the campaign. Late Friday afternoon, the show also announced the addition of singer John Legend, who has been a frequent critic of Trump and his supporters on social media.
Meanwhile, Trae Crowder, who calls himself the “liberal redneck,” will be the mid-show interview guest. The stand-up comic and Tennessee native developed a strong following on YouTube and has since performed shows across the country. It’ll be interesting to get his perspective on the notion that Trump won the election largely due to high turnout in mostly white, rural areas, particularly across the Rust Belt.
