Jim Beaver (Wyoming)

Wyoming actor Jim Beaver didn’t always know he’d be a star on television. After serving in the military, he wound up getting involved in theater. Beaver would perform on stage and take a strong liking to it, realizing that he had a career in front of him as a performer.

Beaver maintained a steady stream of work for about three decades. This mostly consisted of supporting film and TV roles. This enabled the actor the chance to pay his bills by performing, though he had yet to get that breakout role. But patience pays off, as something finally came along which made him a star.

On the HBO Western series Deadwood, Beaver took on the part of Whitney Ellsworth. The role would get him a lot of critical acclaim, leading to better parts for future projects. When the series concluded, it wasn’t long before Beaver got the role he’s best known for.

On the popular series Supernatural, Beaver would obtain a longtime role as Bobby Singer. This is definitely his most recognized role. But when you look into his history, you’ll see that he’s been turning in excellent performances for many, many years. His big break came late, but he is definitely deserving.
