Amanda Righetti (Utah)

Utah native actress Amanda Righetti got her career started at the age of 15 as a model. It wasn’t too far later when she managed to be cast in starring role in a proposed sitcom. It was called No Place Like Home but unfortunately the show didn’t materialize. However, the casting still led to other parts for Righetti, as producers were taking a liking to the budding star.

Righetti would get recurring roles on shows like The O.C.Reunion, and North Shore. She also wound up with smaller parts on other programs like CSI: Crime Scene InvestigationEntourage, and K-Ville. She’s gotten film roles too, including prominent parts in 2009’s remake of the classic horror movie Friday the 13th and Return to House on Haunted Hill

However, Righetti is most well known for her main role on the television series The Mentalist. For six seasons, Righetti plays Grace Van Pelt on the show. She would go on to appear on Chicago Fire before nabbing another starring role. Now, she stars on the show Colony, a USA series taking place in a dystopian future. After a strong first seasons, the show was renewed, and will return to the network — with Amanda Righetti in tow — in 2017.
