Jenna Fischer (Indiana)

We’re coming back to another alumnus from the American version of the sitcom The Office. One of the reasons people would watch the show every week is the storyline between Jim and Pam. The “will they or won’t they?” style of their relationship lasts for years before the two actually marry and have children.

Pam, the receptionist, is really brought to life by her actress Jenna Fischer. Originally born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the performer is a natural in the role. Pam is an everywoman, so to speak, an ordinary American lady just getting by as a front desk receptionist for a paper company. In real life, Fischer spent a lot of time as a receptionist, preparing her very well for actually performing the role.

You can also see Fischer in several feature films. This includes Hall PassSlitherWalk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, and The Promotion. But even still, Pam is who we best remember her for. But that’s just fine for Fischer, who says she never really had aspirations to be a big movie star. ” I would love to be on a long-running hit TV show. You end up playing a defining role,” she would say about the part in an interview.
