Kristen Schaal is an actress and comedian whose voice is just as recognizable as her face. You may know her face best as Mel from the HBO series Flight of the Conchords. And if you watch Bob’s Burgers, you definitely know her voice as Louise Belcher, one of the two daughters in the family.

Schaal was born in Longmont, Colorado. After graduating from college, she decides to focus on her comedy career. This sees the aspiring star move to New York City. She first starts finding success in 2005 upon being named in New York magazine’s list of the “Ten Funniest New Yorkers You’ve Never Heard Of”.

Soon after, Schaal’s comedy career takes off and it doesn’t take long for her to start piling up awards. But it’s Flight of the Conchords which really makes her a star. She becomes a correspondent on The Daily Show and takes up dozens of film and TV roles. More and more people to this day are becoming familiar with Schaal’s talents.

These days, you can catch her on the acclaimed sitcom The Last Man on Earth, co-starring with Will Forte. She is the first person Forte’s character comes across after believing himself to be all alone on the planet.
