23. Tommy Wiseau

This one will be much different than the other names on this list as Tommy Wiseau isn’t intentionally trying to be funny. As it is, however, he’s absolutely hysterical. Listening to him speak is always highly entertaining, whether he’s trying for it to be that way or not. So if he were to replace Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, you could expect every interview to be very amusing.

For those unaware, Tommy Wiseau created a low-budget film called The Room which would otherwise be very forgettable if Wiseau didn’t also star. His delivery of his lines has gained him a reputation for being one of the worst actors ever, but whether that’s true or not, it’s hysterical each time. It takes a true man of talent to make an ordinary phrase like “You’re tearing me apart, Lisa!” become one of the most quoted movie lines.

Wiseau has since been seen on Youtube. He hosted a web series called Tommy Explains it All, which featured some humorous musings from the filmmaker and actor. Wiseau also hosted The Tommy Wi-Show, a series which saw him playing games with hilarious commentary.

Chances of Wiseau being hired for a primetime television series are probably less than zero, but I remain convinced that it’d be absolutely hilarious.
