30 replacements for Jimmy Fallon on Tonight Show
By Jeremy Dick
25. Andy Cohen
Andy Cohen might not have the comedy background of some of the other names on this list, but he is still a very funny guy. He can constantly be seen popping up on daytime talk shows like Morning Joe, Today, and The View. But you can find him regularly on late night television already, as well.
Cohen currently hosts Watch What Happens: Live on the Bravo channel. It is in this role that he became America’s first openly gay host of a late night talk show. He’s a natural in his hosting duties on the program, and the only thing he could do better with is having a larger audience. That would certainly come with coming on board to a primetime show on NBC.
Behind the scenes, Cohen also has had a lot of work as a producer for various programs. This extensive knowledge of how television works off-camera would be a big benefit towards hosting a popular program like The Tonight Show. So we’ve got somebody here with a full understanding of television who also happens to be an excellent late night host already. When you think about it like that, of course Cohen should be considered.
