30 replacements for Jimmy Fallon on Tonight Show
By Jeremy Dick
10. Amy Poehler
Amy Poehler is, without a doubt, one of the funniest women alive. She has proven this from her television breakout series The Upright Citizens Brigade, all the way up to her time on Saturday Night Live and lead role on Parks and Recreation. Sometimes appearing with comedy partner Tina Fey, Poehler has made millions of television viewers laugh over the course of many, many years.
To get an idea of what Poehler would be like as a talk show host, look at her time spent as a co-host of the Weekend Update segments on SNL. Even talking about the news from behind a desk, Poehler is just as hilarious as she always is. As a writer, she can come up with some excellent comedy material which could play out hilariously in the case of late night television.
Poehler also serves as an executive producer for the popular sitcom Broad City and the Hulu series Difficult People. She not only brings quality comedy to the table herself, she knows where to find it as well. This would do her a lot of favors with finding the right guests and developing hysterical segments for her version of The Tonight Show.
