12. Drew Carey

It’s hard to find anybody out there who doesn’t like Drew Carey. The friendly and funny personality first made his name known with his sitcom The Drew Carey Show, later serving as the host on the improv series Whose Line is it Anyway? His comedy career would eventually take him to his current gig as the host of the popular game show The Price is Right.

As a man who has been able to stay relevant on television for so many years, Carey would seem like a reasonable choice to replace Jimmy Fallon. He has thorough experience with comedy on television, improv, and hosting a TV series on network television. Shouldn’t all of these qualities make him a natural for hosting a late night television show?

Carey seems like a very easy guy to get along with, on top of being a hilarious person. Celebrity interviews should be interesting to watch, and it’s easy to picture Carey nailing the opening monologues as well. This might not be a name that would be the first to come up with thinking of potential The Tonight Show replacements, but once it comes to mind it really seems like it would be a fantastic choice.
