30 replacements for Jimmy Fallon on Tonight Show
By Jeremy Dick
13. Hannibal Buress
Hannibal Buress has been a stand-up comedian for many years, first getting his break in 2009 on the Comedy Central program The Awkward Comedy Show. He soon after released his first album My Name is Hannibal and solidified himself as a mainstay in the comedy scene. You can now see his face or hear his voice in various shows and feature films. Currently, he can be seen on Broad City and The Eric Andre Show where he always manages to entertain.
It needs to be noted that Buress is no stranger at all to the late night talk shows. He has done many comedy appearances for shows like Conan, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Show with David Letterman, and many others. He has done bits on both Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, proving that he has been greatly appreciated by Fallon himself.
If Fallon were to leave The Tonight Show, Buress needs to be one of the names considered for a replacement. There’s a reason these late night shows keep having him on to do his comedy. It’s because he’s a hell of a funny person and he may do just as well on the other side of the desk.
