Jimmy Fallon is enjoying his time as the host of The Tonight Show, but what if he were to ever step down or be let go? Here are 30 names who could potentially replace him.

After Jay Leno’s long stint as the host of The Tonight Show, America was ready to move on. Based on the success Jimmy Fallon had been having on Late Night, the former SNL star was brought in as Leno’s replacement. The move made him the sixth permanent host in the show’s history.

Fallon’s success has translated well into his new gig on The Tonight Show, but you never know what can happen. Rumors of alcoholism have plagued Fallon’s personal life, and the alleged “party boy” lifestyle he lives off-screen could potentially get him into trouble. It certainly happens to other stars.

As well, what if Fallon pulls a Dave Chapelle and decides that doing the show is too much stress to handle, regardless of the paycheck? It’s not very likely, but it’s something that can happen! But don’t fret, because there are at least thirty others who could fill Fallon’s shoes if he were to leave The Tonight Show for whatever reason.

30. Wayne Brady

We have known Wayne Brady is a funny guy ever since we first saw him on Whose Line is it Anyway? It was through this show Brady proved how skilled he was with improv comedy. His ability to do excellent spoof songs are also something he has in common with Jimmy Fallon. On the show, Brady would often make up the words on the spot for his parody songs.

Brady has plenty of experience hosting a TV series, as well. He has been the host of the CBS program Let’s Make a Deal since 2009. It’s apparent that he knows how to work an audience, and that could translate well into a job on a late night talk show.

While a lot of Brady’s material has been family friendly, he is just as good at doing comedy for adults. His appearance on The Chappelle Show is regarded as one of the funniest sketches in television history. In a spoof of Training Day, Brady took Dave Chappelle under his wing for a drug-fueled night on the town. Brady would surely be able to adapt and do more mature material appropriate for the late night audience should he get the job.
