College football is back in action, and the SEC still reigns supreme as the most powerful conference in the nation.

With schools like Alabama, LSU and Ole Miss, there are a lot of national championship contenders coming out of the SEC. In fact, six of the top 20 teams are from the conference, which means that plenty of the biggest games in country every Saturday are going to feature SEC schools.

There are a number of big names coming out of the SEC as well, including Heisman Trophy favorite in LSU running back Leonard Fournette. There are also potential first-round draft picks like Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly and Georgia running back Nick Chubb coming out of the conference.

To kick off the college football season, the SEC Network will be airing South Alabama vs. Mississippi State at noon ET on Saturday.
