12. What the hell is the Department of Environmental?
Making false promises is another favorite tactic of Donald Trump used throughout his campaign to be president. Some things he will heavily exaggerate. Others, he will make up on the spot to further his agenda. You really can’t trust a word that comes out of the guy’s mouth.
One hilarious example was brought up on The Late Show by Stephen Colbert. The late night host would play a video of Trump talking about how he was going to eliminate the “Department of Environmental”, also known as the “D.E.P.” Aside from the fact that the “P” doesn’t stand for anything, there’s a major problem with this claim.
Apparently, the Department of Environmental is not a real thing. To answer a question he had no real answer for, it seemed the Republican nominee just literally made one up. Here’s Colbert taking him down for it:
“We looked it up, and the Department of Environmental does not exist, meaning Trump is either talking out of his ass, or he’s already eliminated it. That’s very impressive, and if that’s the case, you know it’s just a matter of time before Trump eliminates all the other wasteful departments we don’t need because they don’t exist.”
