27. Hillary’s attempts to woo anti-Trump Republicans

Donald Trump’s campaign has been so controversial, that even some Republicans are feeling too disgusted to vote for him. Hillary Clinton wants as many votes as she can going into the general election against Trump, so she may be trying to come up with a way to court those disenfranchised Republicans, according to Stephen Colbert on late night television.

On The Late Show, Colbert offered several of his own tips for Clinton when it came to getting the support of anti-Trump Republicans. He had many words of advice for Clinton, such as saying something negative about Ted Cruz, not yelling too much, or simply just being herself. But he had one final grating tip that really should put things in perspective for her:

“Remember all the mean things you said about Barack Obama when you were running against him in 2008? Start saying them again.”

The quip obviously refers to Clinton’s failed campaign to become president in 2008, succumbing to the unstoppable Obama machine. She now has a lot of great things to say about the 44th president of the United States, but that doesn’t change the bitter campaign she ran against him eight years ago.
