2. Hillary Clinton can’t even tell a lie… correctly
Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton is seen as dishonest by a certain number of Americans that has got to be depressingly high for her. But despite always being called a liar, she doesn’t even seem to know how to do it right, at least that’s how it seemed to people when Clinton made an odd statement about lying when asked about it in an interview.
Clinton said, “I don’t believe I ever have,” when asked straight up if she had ever lied to the American people. It was suggested Clinton was giving herself “wiggle room” should she ever be caught in any lies, but the awkward answer only seemed so much more dishonest than if she would have just denied it.
As Stephen Colbert asked on The Late Show:
“How can you be this bad at it?! Just say no! Just say no! You’re running for President of the United States! Even Richard Nixon knew to say, ‘I am not a crook!’ He didn’t say, ‘It has always been my attention, as far as I believe, I will do the best I can not to be a crook.'”
Colbert further stressed in hilarious fashion just how easy it is to lie, even bringing out a young boy named Billy to lie to him as a demonstration.
