12. Stephen Colbert names Hillary Clinton’s ice cream flavor

When Vermont senator Bernie Sanders was surging in popularity with the masses, he even gained some fans at the top of the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream company. This saw the release of Bernie’s very own ice cream flavor, officially made by Ben & Jerry’s, called Bernie’s Yearning.

Pints of Bernie’s Yearning featured a thin milk chocolate disc on top of plain mint ice cream. The chocolate was supposed to, according to its label, “represent the top 1% who had all the wealth, the huge majority of economic gains that have gone to the top 1% since the end of the recession. Beneath it, the rest of us.”

With only Bernie Sanders getting his own ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s, Stephen Colbert joked on The Late Show that this was discriminatory, and other presidential hopefuls should be getting their own ice cream flavors as well. He gave a few examples, such as Caramel Fiorina and Martin O’Malamar, but his closer was this jab at Hillary Clinton, predicting what her flavor would be called:

“Or, maybe Hillary’s ‘Whatever Flavor You Want This To Be’.”

The line, of course, refers to Clinton’s tendency to only say what she feels the voters in front of her at that given time want to hear.
