25. Fallon’s Trump delivers “surprise” speech at the RNC
Obviously this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Jimmy Fallon as Donald Trump on this list, and it won’t be the last either, as Fallon’s Trump impersonations have been some of his greatest bits of the year. One of these classic moments was when Fallon spoofed Trump’s celebratory speech at the Republican National Convention.
Fallon mocked Trump’s comical entrance in which he appeared in a silhouette, following it up with a humorous dance. Trump would soon delve into a few lines about how Melania “literally” stole the show, a reference to plagiarizing Michelle Obama’s speech, but insisting how his wife had “done it better”. He included a few more digs some of the other speakers like Scott Baio, and took some shots at Paul Ryan and running mate Mike Pence as well.
He was even able to end out the speech by bringing in the “next best thing” to Pikachu, as they couldn’t get the little guy to come in during the midst of all this Pokemon craze. He then brought out Q-bert. As outlandish as the parody speech is, it hardly seems inaccurate. These are all things that Trump didn’t actually say, but might as well have, as he’s likely thinking them.
