4. Seth Meyers compares Trump to a magic 8-ball

Donald Trump’s flip flopping ways came under scrutiny once again on Late Night, with Seth Meyers talking about how politicians change their views before and after winning an election or party nomination. Trump has always been one of the worst offenders, with Meyers referring to him as a magic 8-ball. Ask him a question, he’ll give an answer— shake him up, and he’ll have a different answer.

Meyers showed several examples, such as showing a clip of Trump saying the minimum wage should stay the same, followed by another with the Republican nominee proclaiming it should be higher. Many further examples followed suit, showing how different Trump’s responses to these questions were before and after he had wrapped up the nomination.

The best one was his claims about self-funding his campaign, as that was major selling points during his campaign. As he got closer to the general election, though, Trump changed his tune and was apparently looking to potentially bring in a billion dollars with fundraising campaigns. I don’t know if there has ever been a time when a presidential candidate has reminded me so much of Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers movies.
